Sculpture (wooden relief, plastic legs)

A wooden relief with plastic legs occupies the floor — an object suspended between states. It is not yet a toad, but no longer simply a frame. The title references a line from the TikTok song Strawberry Frog, situating the work within a meme-based visual culture.
The piece operates as a kind of wordless narrative: part comic puzzle, part sculptural image. On its reverse side, a flattened embossed meme echoes the same “frogtok” references, shifting toward the language of therapeutic internet content.
The structure of the work invites a diagonal reading, similar to the narrative sequencing found in hagiographic icons. A striped toad appears to take a decisive leap — crossing a road and landing on the reverse side of the relief.
The object becomes a portal between story and meme, between volume and surface.
