The work revolves around the fictional character Uncle Bob, who undergoes a transformation from a human into a parrot (a budgie). This metamorphosis follows a myth-like narrative structure of personal development.
The transformation reflects the experience of migration, particularly the need to unlearn familiar reflexes and reconstruct one’s sense of self. It points to the search for a “Core” identity, something stable yet continuously redefined.
